Tire blowout

I just experienced my first tire explosion driving home from Camping World. Unfortunately the tire was the drivers side rear tire on our 2004 Safari, and cause damage to the black water and gray water controls. Still have not found out the total damage, waiting for Camping World and USAA to send damage report. Shopping for new tires once the trailer is repaired. Would appreciate recommendations on replacement tires. We bought the Airstream new in 2004 and have only replaced tires one time.

Nice and kudos on keeping the white letter facing out! I did the same and love it. Wish there were white walls!! [emoji3]

Yup. The 15" Michelin tires raise the low hung 23D rear plumbing fittings another 1.1" off the ground. Kind of like the male parts of the Lion being fully exposed to damage from outside sources....

One has to be really "aware" of those plumbing parts when going over the humps at some service stations.
