Diamond Back Trailer Tires

Page 15 is trailer tires. Load ratings C, D, E, 6-10 ply. Very swanky looking, but $214-$259, not so nice. Thinking of biting but maybe someone has a better alternative. I know some folks do their own whitewalls by painting their tires, but does this work or last?
I will protect tires with covers when not on the road. Since I only need 2, and am Canadian, used to getting hosed on prices, this is pretty much the same price as what we would pay at Walmart.

I use Diamond Back tires on my old cars. Great tires and a good company. Whitewalls should be good from them, however, I think it makes the Airstream look like it belongs in Detroit.

Ive had them on my trailer 4 yrs now, maybe 4 more, no signs of drying out. They are retreadable so that tells you that they have a high quality casing. They have a thick strong sidewall, not a wimpy sidewall like the ST LRD radial they replaced.

I've personally bought six sets of tires from Diamondback. Mostly redline radials for muscle cars I've had over the past few years. I'm currently running a set of their wide whitewall trailer tires on my '67 Airstream Caravel. I always had great service from their tires and they balanced up great. You do need to allow some lead time as they don't have tires sitting around ready to ship (which is good). They make up the tires you order. I've also always had good luck with the Diamondback people.
I've currently got a set of wide whitewall radials on a '51 Ford F1 p/u that came from Coker. I had to have these tires balanced three times at three different places. They still aren't perfect. The whitewalls are checked looking. From what I understand Coker makes their tires up in advance and they are sitting around a warehouse for a period of time before you get them. The Coker folks are nice people but I haven't had good experiences with the tires I've bought from them. I've talked to two different people at car shows that have had the tread separate on tires that came from there. Coker replaced them both times but there is the potential for damage or injury when that happens. I prefer the look of whitewalls but also like the bias ply original look. I've got another set of bias ply trailer tires and wheels. I'll likely blast and paint them and run them on some trips this year for a different look.

StreaminGuy, goodness gracious, those are shiny trailers. STUNNING IMHO! I think the whitewalls look cooler (as in temp, not hipness), well....maybe in hipness too. I am also thinking of beauty rings. As the DH says, when you are into it up to here, (hand placed across forehead), don't suddenly not get what you want just because of a few $100. Let me be clear; THIS IS NOT WHY I MARRIED HIM. I am only obsessed with Airstreams and Jeeps, and he is into the obsessions as much as I am, so we share our toys. Although strangely I am the one that does all the dirty work on them.

Please tell more regarding looking like "Detroit"?

The Yokohamas look good, but they only have a weight limit of 2040 on the 15". My '14 27FB Classic has a GVW of 9k, so I guess I'm stuck with the GYMs @ 2540 each...

That's a heavy trailer, better consider going to 16" tires.
