Question Chinese 'Hi-Run' Tires Quality ?

I had no choice but to get a set of "Hi-Run" Tires from Bejing, China when my old ones died in a very inconvenient place. I've put 4000 miles on them and they still look OK. Not all Chinese tires can be that bad as there are now 46 million tires made in China in the US ( including the "Primewell's" that came on my used Volvo). My research indicates that some Goodyear Marathon tires were lousy too.
Is there anywhere where I can find unbias tests on Trailer Tires?
Has anyone had a good or bad experience with this brand?
I don't want Chinese tires any more than the next guy, but I don't want to spend another $$$$ for different tires if these will be OK.
I was told that Carlisle brand is the ones I should get when these need to be replaced. Is that so?
Help.

Times are a changin'

I've got a couple of years and maybe 6,000 miles on my Bambi with Chinese Goodyear Marathons, if I had a choice I'd buy American, but that's hard to do these days. So far so good. Bought a set of Carlisle tires for my "new" Sovereign from a dealer who assured me that they were made in USA, but the DOT code "AQ" indicated that they came from the other side of the world. The required country of origin marking is hidden under the rim of the wheel.

What would you rather have, cheap stuff at Wallmart or a good paying manufacturing job? Sometimes you don't get to choose.

gowansgary, You didn't say how many of those 46 million tires are on vehicles now and how many are in the scrap pile a lot of which end up in landfills.

Well, all of them, eventually. Same goes for every tire, doesn't it? The scrap pile, that is. They needn't wind up in a landfill though, that's a choice WE make, it's not an "imported" choice...
