Changing Tire Size (225 to 235)

I need tires, and need them quick!

Though I am still undecided if I will sell, store or move my Silver Olive in the next 10 days , it needs tires. I don't feel safe having myself (or anyone else) move it out of the valley without changing the rubber.

In my quest for a quick tire change-out, I'm having to consider changing the size tire... Right now I've got 225/75/15's on the trailer. I am looking at 235/75/15's. I searched all over the forums and found that this is a common change-out on the newer Airstreams (and 60's), but found few posts with this on 1970's trailers. One or two posts also mentions some difficulty fitting in these slightly wider tire under the wheel wells.

So, my question is: will they fit on my 1973 Overlander? I've looked at the trailer and it looks like it might be a tight fit width wise....

A 235 is 10 mm wider than a 225, and so it would be 5 mm on each side of the tire carcass, wider. You can do the measurement from there.

I doubt anyone will tell you if it will fit, or not, because there are lots of variables within the same year and model of trailer.
