Be safe in 2011!

Today, in less then 45 minutes of driving, I passed a 5th wheel RV and a tandem axle utility trailer parked on the shoulder of the highway with tire blowouts.

... I think thats an ominous warning to go and check all tires for age, condition and pressure and check all other safety-related components (fire extinguisher OK?... check. New batteries in the CO/smoke detector... check., etc.) on my Airstream. I got the hint, and I will pass the hint to everyone here - hopefully preventing you from becoming a warning to others in 2011.

Safe travels and camping everyone .

Eastern South Dakota is very pretty with hills, rivers, and trees.

After our 6,000+ mile trip from Utah to Florida and back to Idaho, the day after I parked our AS in the driveway, next moring it had a flat. Took it to our local auto shop/tire repair and he showed me where there was a small rock cut on the side wall and it finally ate it's way through to seperate the inside of the tire. Bought a new tire on the spot. Sure was a blessing to have that happen in my driveway instead of while going 70 in west Texas or the middle of Phoenix, what a nightmare that would be!!
