225-75-15 is this the right size to replace 7.00 x 15
I know this is probably the wrong place for this. But I am geting ready to pull the trigger on the 74 International. The tires need to be replaced, I found this quote somewhere n the forum and read lots of debate, but could seem to get the concensus.
The International has 4 tires, is teh the mdern equivalent for the current 700 x 15.
Thanks
Tim
i will post pictures tonight of my new friend/headache.....
Yep. That's what I put on my '73. 225/75R15's I think are a direct replacement size for the 7.00 x 15 OEM tires. I bought Maxxis by the way. There's a whole lotta info (and arguments ) about tires around here. Good luck and post soem pic's.
I am in the same boat about changing tires. How do you check the rims to see if D225/75R15 will work? I plan to remove two tires at a time and take them to "Sam's". Have to order mentioned tires. The steel rims need to be wire brushed, primed and painted. Any suggestions? Is there any function to the steel stem other than hubcap placement? Thanks. Jack
