assuming the wheel/tire LOAD capacity is SIMILAR to oem...
the other issue is OUTSIDE DIAMETER...
IF the 22s are LARGER (is the speed'o OFF or has it been adjusted) than the factory treads...
1. hp/torque AT the wheels goes down...
2. braking distances may be longer
3. towing capacity goes DOWN
the effect of LARGER ROLLING tires/wheels is similar to CHANGING the rear end gearing...
and that change moves AWAY from hauling potential.
_________
so while it's POSSIBLE to tow a newer 27 foot stream , HOW the tires/wheels alter this...
depends on ALL of the specs and burb' equipment.
here's an older thread about 17s vs 20s towing a BAMBI...
with similar issues just MORESO in your example...
(see post #12, 20 n 24 below...)
http://www.airforums.com/forums/f438...ize-25739.html
the target and options keep SHIFTING.
so many truck now come STANDARD with 20s
that a LOT more tire options exist in 2010 than in 06 when that thread happened...
but 22s are still bling-ish by most measures...
cheers
