TPMS ordered, early X-Mas for me. I chose the Dill 1504. I actually like the idea that it is inside, sorta vandal proof, and monitors the temp from the inside, Dill Tech Support states that it is capable of picking up a hot wheel hub even (brake heat or bearing heat induced) with a cool running tire. With new tires hopefully an e-mail confirmation away, this will be a busy but well timed event.

Spent a lot of last night searching Airfrums, unless something magic comes up, looks like it will be MAXXIS LRE. Not able to factually justify it yet, I know lots of ideas about 16", LT's etc but its kinda my gut feel for right now and yes several fully riveted members here have started using them.

Within the next week:
New tires are planned.
TPMS installed w/new tires.
New Carslile actuator, I'll do the installation while the wheels are off.

Then Labor Day Weekend, campsite reserved, time to relax.

Tonight was an oil change on the 5.9L and fuel filter, guess what, I did it with the cab still on the frame! Yup, that was a shot at Ford.

Update after a 40 mile test drive tonight.

1. GYM's are gone.
2. New MAXXIS load range E replaced the GYM's by tire retailer, even swap based on sidewall bulges at 200 miles. I did the R&R labor on the trailer.
3. Dill 1504 TPMS installed, the retailer installed the transmitters, we hooked up and we are now collecting 8 data points on 4 tires, PSI and Temp. More to learn, but it is working. Interesting to watch it just cycle thru the 4 tires.
4. New Carslile brake actuator installed this weekend, took a bit of learning curve to bleed out. Took a bit of adjusting on the controller to get a nice syncronized brake application.

I feel better, but a long trip will be required to make sure all is well. This was a lot of work.

Update.

The GYM's are ALL gone, replaced at N/C by the retailer for MAXXIS load range E. I don't have the exact number but there is 2 ratings cast into the inside of the wheel, one ended in 5H the other 6H, the number on the 6H was aver 2800 lbs, assumption 6H = 6 lug holes.

First outing 400 miles with 60-80 miles of hill and dale driving, no problems, felt good.
