It's more work, but rotate one of the old tires to one side, and put the two new tires on the other side. The reason is the new tires will have thicker tread, and be slightly taller, carry more of the weight, and wear (or even fail) faster because of it.
If you are concerned about reversing the rotation of the tire you will be saving and moving, it can be dismounted and remounted backwards on the wheel, maintaining the same direction of rotation.
