Quality low cost alternatives to ST tires.

Gladiator Tires are one of the cheapest Chinese made ST tires available. I would never recommend any Airstreamer ever use an ST tire. Ever.

Do yourself a favor and get a set of LT235/75/15LRC tires.
Firestone
GoodYear
General
Yokohama
All tires above are less than $110 each from Tire Rack.

The ST tire has been discussed here to great lengths. I suggest you do some reading and make your own decision.
It is my opinion that ST tires are not the best choice for an Airstream. Airstream used Light Truck (LT) tires from the 40s to the late 70s. I have no idea what their reasons were for going to the ST tires.
Airstream does install 16" LT tires on new Eddie Bauer models as well as the new Classic.

I am looking for some 700x15 tires as well.

on eBay are some "greenball" tires for $80 each shipped.

I guess they are a co. out of los angeles and they have a 4 year warranty.

has anyone used greenball tires before ?

Cheap tires can be very expensive in the long run. I once experienced a thread separation on the front axle while passing a 18-wheeler. The tire was less than a year old and "on Sale". Since then I do not compromise on tires, ever!
I upgraded the 6 tires on my 34' to 16" and Michelins LT. Cheap piece of mind.
