Wheels & Tires:
We replaced the 7.00 x 15 tires with the same - rated ST, and they are designed to fit the wheel well. Ditch the split rims however. They are generally unsafe. You have a lot of options in regards to wheels. We went with a basic black spoked wheel. I think they look good. Others opt for the shiny look. Do a search thru the threads and you will find many discussions regarding this.

Carpet:
Replace with whatever tickles your fancy......and you have the ability to lay (or ability to pay someone else). I just finished putting in Maple laminate flooring. Carpet will get too dirty where we tend to camp (especially with at least 3 kids!) Check the subfloor when you pull up the carpet, look for any soft or rotten spots. Any rot wil need to be cut out and replaced before laying new flooring.

Welcome and good luck. I've found the forum to be lots of help, with many friendly and helpful people.

We put American Racing alloys with Goodyear Marathon ST225X75X15 , load range "D". the Alloy wheels were 68 bucks each, in somecases cheaper than steel, and much lighter. The Marathons widely range in price. One place I checked wanted $115.00+++. Discount Tire wanted $93.00. Being a good and frequent customer, they threw in mounting and balancing. Stay away from Carlisle brand tires. Two sets, bad scene.

I would give your trailer a good check out. Hook everything up and operate it for some time. All of the appliances and lights and plumbing. Operate refer on all power sources. Run the propane. This is so you can check for and repair any issues.

Also remove all wheels and brake assemblies so they can be inspected and serviced as needed.

Don't forget the outside lights for operation.
