Why couldn't we combine these two together?
Replace Wheel Bearings?
Make it easier to follow the train of info..
ciao
BTW, thanks for the great research. I'd like to see more info and, even demo on the replacements of this often overlooked item!

John HD, my bearing seals came from Henschen when I picked up the axles. Didn't see any numbers on them, but I'll check again. They had the blue sealant on the outside edges, with the spring loaded seal.

53FlyingCloud, I thought this would get more attention posting this way as another gentleman was interested in the numbers also. There is a great article on brake service and wheel bearing repacking in this months Trailer Life magazine.

80-90 ft/lbs. It doesn't take very long to repack the wheel bearings and is a fairly simple diy job. I like to do it just so I can look at my brakes and see just what is going on inside my wheels. I have never had a wheel bearing problem, I look at them each winter just before pulling to Florida from North Carolina. I have found broken springs on the brakes. I just feel better doing the inspection myself. It's also a good time to look at tire wear and sidewall condition. I like to replace my tires on a 5 year cycle.
