What if you can see 3 or so inches of tire but the angle of the torsion arms are zero (or horizontal to the ground) when the trailer is empty?

2 other suggestions to assess your axles:

1. Jack up the trailer. As you jack up the trailer the tires should stay in contact with the ground for at least a couple of inches.

2. Have someone tow you down a bumpy road while you ride in the coach and see if the ride is reasonably smooth. Look for any movement in the interior of the coach that is not uniform and out of sync that suggests axle shock is being directly transferred to the coach and not buffered by the axles and shocks. The trailer ride will be different from the TV because it's a different vehicle. My pick up is a 3/4 ton and rides a lot harder than my Tradewind. I tow my AS based on how the trailer rides, not so much the TV.
