Talking trailer hitch height '68 Sovereign

Hi,

I'm getting ready to tow my newly purchased '68 Sovereign. At present it is far away from where I am. If anyone could let me know the height of the hitch it would be helpful as I want to get the right ball. The towing vehicle is a '86 Ford 250 pick-up.

Many thanks,

Nicholas

There is no correct hitch height for any Airstream trailer.
There is, however, a design dimension.
That dimension will vary considerable, depending on the condition of the axles, AND, how much payload is in the trailer.
A variation of almost 3 inches, from the designed height, is not uncommon.

good point

andy

as always, good point.

but the nineteen inch measurement would be a good starting place.

thanks

john

John.
2" ball is correct, unless someone changed the coupler.
I would suggest that you start with no more than 17 1/2 to 18 inches.
