I checked into Dexter axles and we can buy 2 axles from Dexter for the about the price of 1 from Inland RV. Thanks for everyone's info..

More importantly, what size brakes will you have with the Dexters?

The originals were 12 inch brakes.

There is also concern about the quality of Dexter torsion axles. I have come across recent posts (other forums) about premature wear/shortened lifespan.

Dexter's response: "As far as the rubber being bad we have not had any instance since we began producing the Torflex axle in mid 1984 where the rubber was bad. The overloading of the axle in a static or dynamic load can cause the rubber to shred."
