Pictures of our bad axles
I posted some pictures on the web of our axles. It is hard to get good pictures, especially with the trailer riding so low to the ground (a problem soon to be remedied). But you can see that things are not happy

How about a level shot from the side of the wheel well? I'm curious how much of your tire is showing.
It's kind of hard to tell. The arm almost looks level to me in the photos.

They are reaching for the stars!!
The pictures do not do justice. But I estimate the angle at about 20 degrees positive. The arms do point up no matter what.

Sorry to hear about your axles, but nice web site you have going there.
Cool tow vehicle, too! I'll bet the H2 towed the brakeless, sway bar less, trailer home just fine, although I wouldn't recommend that as your long term solution.
As for the "surprises" you found over the rear bumper, I suspect they are a patches for a repair for "rear separation", not necessarily "rear sag" - these are two different conditions.
Anyway, Good Luck!

H2 - Way to tow!
Towed like a charm.
They guided me back to hitch up the trailer and then I pulled it out of the 13 year old sagebrush! I was ever-so-slightly shaking with nervousness as I pulled forward... When I finally got it out of its parking spot and backed onto the road I started forward with ease. I couldn't feel it back there at all!
Before I pulled onto the main road Tim reached over and switched on the tow/haul mode and away we went. I don't think I was ever completely at ease during the ride home, kept my speed down, but, I remember commenting several times about the fact that I couldn't feel it at all back there, at all!
(For the past 5 years we've had a Coleman pop-up camper that we've been towing with my Toyota 4-Runner; no sway bar, good trailer brakes, good axles. But the fact that I could always feel it back there -- tugging, slightly swaying on our windy Nevada roads -- always gave me an overall sense of nervousness that something could go wrong.)
As for the axles, since I'm the primary driver on our trips, it will be comforting to know that we've got a fresh start in that department. I hope we're narrowing down our re-do's and expenses to at least get us on the road, soon.
