He's a good dude. Had a great time with him and Tim doing the VAP show awhile back. That type of business is probably much different than most and you all are probably using his service for a good reason. Hang in there.

When my axels were shipped in October I received an email every time they reached a freight terminal. I knew when they would be delivered and was able to call the shop I had them delivered to and tell them when they were due to arrive.

Glad to hear we aren't the only ones... I priced an axle back in Nov but we needed to wait till after the holidays to order. Now we have the money and cant get a response from Colin to place the order! If you get ahold of axis, they tell you Colin is the guy you have to order from...

should have started months ago

I called and e-mailed Colin 5 weeks ago thinking I was getting a jump on the process for spring install of axles. For a long time his voice mail was so full it would not accept messages. I did get an e-mail back from him saying that he was swamped. 2 weeks ago and now nothing again. I wish there was a way to help him out. It sounds like lots of folks are trying to order from him. I will keep my fingers crossed that my number comes up soon. I am not sure if that will be to place the order or if it is only to get a quote. Would like to get the Axles ordered soon and get them in before it is time to hit the road.

Jon

Got my axles from Andy at Inland. No problems, and arrived in about 2 1/2 weeks. Shipped direct from factory, and new shocks shipped from Andy. Got the axles with the self adjusting brakes, and couldn't be happier. Chris

Axles at Inland

Well darn, well I was looking into the price at Inland I noticed they are on sale so....earlier than planned I just ordered one for my '69 Safari and another the '63 tradewind. All they needed was the serial number from me to know what I needed. I got the complete axle with (cut and paste here :-) Dura Torque Axle, complete with 10 or 12 inch SELF ADJUSTING BRAKES, hub and drums, and bearings, 5 or 6 lugs for $675 ea and the shocks were on sale to for $25 ea.

Darn women, sheesh,...Oooh...its on sale, I'll buy two please...
Hopefully that was a good price...

Oh and hey if you ever wanted to know how the dura torque axles are made this is a great vintage video that shows how they make they made the trailers 40 years ago including the axles, really cool, literally...
