Lively Debate

Thanks Folks,

You all have helped me tremendously.
The axle dealer I use will be close by, have an outstanding reputation and I do not know if they will get shocks on them, do not care.
The plan is to size the axles to the trailer's intended weight and height for compatibility with the tow vehicle.
The inclination is to go with drum brakes because...., well that is for another thread.
Play nice and keep up the debate because it might be a while before I spring for the axles and things change.

The old question always remains, as to how well a substitute part may work, over the long haul of time.

You can choose the known, or deal with an unknown, as often and wherever a person may choose.
