lug nuts bambi

hello,
have a new 2003 bambi. owners manual says to check the lug nuts at first 50 miles with tq to 85 lbs. there seems to be about 1/32nd in play in the head of two of the lug nuts. is this normal? also are these nuts or are they bolts that go into the wheel hub? the tq seems good at 85 lbs.

thanks,
david h

Assuming the torque wrench is right there should be no movement anywhere with that much torque.

The wheel nuts on my Classic are a standard wheel nut with a chrome cover which is held in place with a crimp. After removing or retorquing a wheel the cover will become loose or fall off. My trailer is now missing 7 or 8 nut covers. This spring I will replace all my wheel nuts with chrome plated acorn solid wheel nuts avaliable from most auto parts stores or tire stores.
