Is there a way to verify if axle is original by serial # ?

I am curious is there a way to verify if the axles are originals or have been changed out by the serial # on the plate?

serial # is 026835 the 2 could be a 3
another # on `the plate is 3436009 can 1970 which leads me to think these were made in 1970 and eventually got bolted onto my 1974 Trade Wind LY. I could not read the rear axle but it had the 1970 date as well. I guess its replacement time for the works. Do you purchase the axle and back plates separate? The drums look good , if I upgrade to the 12" shoe can I still use the drums?
