In search of a shop.

I have to replace the axle on my Bambi II. I am unable to do the work myself. Does anyone have a recommendation for a shop that can do the work located somewhere between New Orleans to Mobile. I am located in Biloxi, Ms. and don't mind traveling a reasonable distance to get the work completed.

You may want to look for a trailer repair shop as a possible source. Just a
suggestion. Major cities usually have one.

Happy Campers in Picayune is a good shop and reasonable repair prices.

Happy Camper Service Center LLC, Picayune, MS : Reviews and maps - Yahoo! Local

I would do it if you think it's something you would want to try. I did my Caravel in under 4 hours. It's not all that complicated but I am just a person who has done just one axle. If you order the axle as a direct replacement bolt on then it should not be that complicated.

Thanks for the suggestion of Happy Campers, I will give tham a call. If I was physically able I would certainly do it myself. But as I said I am unable.

Chief,

My post was misleading - if you would like me to change out your axle let me know - my experience is limited but I would do it for you. It's not all that complicated as I stated above - the work is not that hard. I could do the job in an afternoon with a bolt up direct replacement.

Michael, I gave Happy Campers a call. By sending the axle directly to them I can save about $100 in freight charges and their quote was not much more than that. They said they could do it in a couple of hours. With the right equipment any job is usually easier, safer and quicker accomplished. They seem do know what they are doing and the price was definitely right, so I am going to have them do the job. I have spoken to Colin and he is sending an email with information I need to place my axle order. I think you for your kind offer.
