You may have to go the route Panheaddale suggested above. First eliminate a bent wheel problem. If you flattened a tire on a curb at 2mph that's a good canadate for a bent rim. They can be difficult to see w/out a reference point. Jack it up, put a something like a brick beside the tire for a reference point, rotate the wheel/tire and watch the small space between the tire and brick. Or, probably the best solution is take the suspected tire/wheel to a tire shop and have them check it on a spin balancer.
