Going under for axle repair

Since it's inevitable that we will have extensive repairs to do from the ground up on our "new" trailer here is my question: is there any way to elevate a 30' trailer to make it easier to work under? Is there any other way to change the axle, anyway? Or am I going to have to crawl?

Careful...

Crawling around under three (English..) tons of trailer can be hazardous, so plan and prepare carefully before going under...

Options might include pulling up onto "ramp stands" that would raise a foot or so, or heavy duty jack stands. The ramps might not fit between axles, which would be necessary to get both wheels up together. Replacing an axle would require jacks separate from under axles or wheels. You'd also need elevation for jack stand at front end of trailer, which might be boards or lumber.

You can change one axle at a time.

Pull the wheels of one axle onto some 2 x 6 blocks

Change out the axle and shocks.

Duplicate the process for the second axle.

Using jacks has some risk.

Using wide boards has no risk, and gives you plenty of working room.

Several ways to avoid a tight crawl.

Here is one way to do it.

2 X 12's cut at a 45 angle for the up ramp.

Use the same cut lengths on both sides, then you can back the rear axle off to the rear, change axle or tires, pull the ramp section from the front, pull trailer forward, do the same thing.
