Dexter Axle

I recently acquired a 2007 23' Safari with dual axles. The Dexter owners manual says I have one of 3 options: Standard wheel bearing configuration, E-Z Lube, or Nev-R-Lube. Can you tell by looking at the outside what I have?

No, If you pull the wheel off you MAY see a "Nev-r-lube" stamp on the dust cap. But look and see if the white label is still on one of the axle tubes. Take a photo of it and send to Dexter. They will return with all the specs on your axle.

I think, but am not sure, that Nev-r-lubes were standard only on Classics in 07. Not sure about EZ lubes. My guess is that you have standard bearings, unless PO ordered an option.

There is only one way to be super sure.

Partially disassemble one hub & drum assembly.

Thanks to all of you. I contacted Dexter Axle with the Dex#59058 and they responded quickly that it has standard bearings.
