just to clarify, IF your question is 'how to i find and inspect an old trayla'...

THAT QUESTION has been asked answered 100s, maybe 1000s of times.

we've got stickies on this and 100s of first hand reports and 100s of pictures that SHOW N TELL the process.

again go read.

-their are PROFESSIONALS that do this stuff every day let them help.

-MANY shops will FIND the TRAILER (or have them on the back lot)..

-MAKE the structural mods as needed (converting a 1 axle to 2 axles for example) for the commercial application...

-BUILD OUT the interior.

all u need is money and a notion.

oh yeah and a reliable sensible cooperative friendly experienced shop,

that can LISTEN to your wants and translate them into something tangible, within a budget and time frame.

best of luck

all of the true things that i am about to tell you are shameless lies. l.b.j.

we are here on earth to fart around. don't let anybody tell you any different. k.v.

I'd call Inland Andy (go to In his projects section (Inland RV Center - The Nations Leading Expert in Airstream Innovations) he has an airstream (complete with toast out the top) that is a full commercial kitchen that was done with consideration to balancing weight, and other important safety/structure considerations. He has first hand knowledge of the exact type of project you're wanting to do and would at least serve as a good resource or consultant.
