THis might be a stupid idea but has anyone ever thought of lifting their coach a few inches by using a body lift. i'm replacing the axles and fixing the frame and rear end sag and I was thinking why not just lift the whole damn thing a few more inches. any thoughts??

I'm sure that a moderate lift of a couple of inches could be accomplished by welding extensions on the axle mounting plates. With the low centers of gravity of Airstream trailers, that shouldn't cause any instability. Care would have to be taken to maintain axle alignment.

Axles can be made with a more radical angle - our argosy was made with a 22 degree angle - when we replaced the axle we had a choice of going to a 25 degree angle - it raised the trailer a few inches and gives greater clearance. Check with Inland RV about the option.
