Axles, brakes, hubs, tires...all out of my comfort zone

Has anyone replaced all of the aforementioned?

I am not confident with the system repair for our 78 26' Argosy.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a business who does this type of work in central Alabama?

And /or do you have any advice as I look to enhance the system?

Trailer Torsion Axles

Get a complete assembly. They have correct wheels too....all at a good price. Get the wheels and tires of your choice and ask them for references on a local trailer company. Any good trailer company can do a good job here.

If you don't feel confident sorting out all of the details of your axle requirements, ie load rating, brake sizing & type, torsion angle, critical dimensions, shock bracket design & position, mounting bracket configuration & orientation & lug pattern, it's probably not a good idea to try to source your axles from a generic supplier. I have installed numerous axles in client trailers over the years & all of these questions need to be answered correctly to insure that you get what you really need. Axles can be "drop shipped" & installed by any competent RV Service facility or Garage. I have had many DIY type people install them as well.
As far as wheels are concerned, www.vintagetrailersupply.com has wheels to suit your trailer, if you feel replacement is necessary.
Thanks,
Colin
