While not too terribly heavy, the center of gravity is actually several inches to one side of the axle tube. since the torsion arms offset the hubs & drums quite a bit. This makes them awkward to handle w/ one person; if you lift them by the tube they will rotate so the drums are down. I found affixing a steel bar to the axle tube w/ a _heavy_ clamp made moving the axles around easier.

If you are installing along. I made a platform from a 2x6 that reached under both drums or trailing arms at the center of the spindle. I screwed a piece of plywood, in the center of that 2x6, that would reach under the axle tube. This "Tee" went on my floor jack and allowed me to jack the axle into place. This will get you access to the reward bolts first. You pin them and then can jack the axle up to pin the forward bolts.

If you are working along you may want to set the axle on the Tee and then raise each end onto boxes to allow you to slide the floor jack under the system.
