Hope this helps a bit...

About to replace both axles on my 1970 Tradewind. Have contacted Colin Hyde Trailer Restorations to order axles.

Would a lift kit be worthwhile?

Thanks, G-Ranch[/QUOTE]

Hi, maybe, but you can also buy axles with a different down angle which will give you some lift.

We replaced the axles in our 2004 Classic 28 in September. We bought our 4700 lb axles with a three inch lift built in. Then you do not have to put in a lift kit. We also got the 22 degree down axles. The net lift (from the standard axles) is about three inches. Here is a link to my thread. https://www.airforums.com/forums/f43...ic-215364.html

Cheers!
