axle bent?

I don't know if it's a problem or not. I am rebuilding a 66 Overlander and I noticed that the axles seem to be bent slightly upward in the middle. Was it designed this way, or has someone jacked it up improperly? The wheels themselves seem vertical, so I'm not too concerned. Thanks, Tom

The axle is bent at the factory to give the wheels the proper camber. It is bent slightly upward in the middle to accomplish this.
