'68 Overlander project

I saw a 1968 overlander ad.Is it correct to assume that anything this old is going to need a axle replacment?I recently looked at a 1972 model and was told by someone in the know that I should expect to replace the axle.

Yeah, I'm afraid so. I've done numerous axle replacements so don't worry, it's not too difficult.
