'53 17' Clipper Axle Seals needed

I would like to replace the axel seals on my 1953 17' Clipper. The current seals are marked as "allis 5013, 29772". I've been told that these are no longer available and that the best thing to do is replace the axel. I have a hard time parting with the $1400 plus labor that would take. Does anyone know of a source for these seals or a replacement seal that will work on these axels?

Go online a locate a "Bearing" dealer. Suggest Purvis Bearing Service.
Also, you can take it to a first rate auto parts place and they can find them.
Do not give up....they can be found.

do some checking

I found all my obsolete bearings, or appropriate substitutes, at a bearing supply house. Just took the old one in there and researched it out...always found something. The bearing dealer I used was in San Antonio, TX.

See if you have a "Bearing Distributors" near you they have about anything you need. Try checking for a BDI also. same company I think they have become BDI (Bearing Distributors Incorporated).

I looked in all the places everyone suggested and could not find an exact match. I ended up taking the trailer to a local garage in 2009 that either rebuilt the ones I had or found them a replacement. I do not know where they got them, but I have been successfully using the trailer ever since.
