DIY or pro? I just bought complete Henschen's and did it DIY.... fit like a glove. Easy as pie. Well, maybe that's exaggerating a bit.

Ak airstream, if you are close enough to Axis Products Main in Elkhart Indiana, you could drop your axles off there and have your axles rebuilt in less than a day, I did this and it was less than $100.00 for the pair.
I also found it cheaper to by new loaded back plates and drums as appose to rebuilding and that brought the price up to $600.00 for a pair of axles, I could have bought new axles from Axis Products Main at that price.

You should replace your axles with 3200 pounds each instead of the original 2800 pounds.

Also you should change the starting angle to 35 degrees, instead of the original 22 1/2 degress.

You have 12 inch brakes. Do not down grade them to 10 inch.

Andy, You have mentioned many times before upping the weight and using 35 degree starting angle, what is the reason for the change from original.
I haven't read or don't remember why it should be 35 degrees.

Years ago, cars pulled Airstreams. Cars were low to the ground.

Today, trucks are used as tow vehicles.

Trucks are high profile. Raising the trailer, helps the rigging.

However, a 45 degree starting angle has been deemed to be a hazard for an Airstream's health.
