1965 Safari Dexter axle order correct?

So, I ordered an axle through inland RV. After 9 weeks of trying to find out where my axle is, Inland refunded me. So I am going to put in an order through Six Roblees Inc. Here is my order:

Axle capacity 5200lbs
Hub face 75.25”
Outside of frame 57.88”
32 degrees down
Electric brakes
12” brakes
15” wheels
Ez-lube
Bolt circle: 6-5.5”
Bracket profile ? Low or high?
Bracket orientation: reverse
Side mount hanger kit? If I use the high bracket profile?
Any help or advice greatly appreciated! I have been reading forums for way too long. Way too many tabs open.
Thanks in advance
Scott

Have you tried Colin Hyde? After measuring up my axles and filling out the Dexter order sheet, I sent my specs to about 5 different companies. I called Colin Hyde last and got the cheapest quote with absolutely no worries about the incorrect axles arriving.

Hey Shermy, I was going to give him a call on Monday.
Good advice!
Thanks! Scott

Does it come with shock brackets? They may just throw them in a bag and strap them to the axle for you to figure out where to weld them on. I have had axles delivered with the brackets attached and some where I have welded them on.
May want to confirm this before completing the order.
Do you know the original GAWR? Are you within 10% of this number so the trailer doesn't get too rough of a ride?

Order new Dexter axles

I have a copy of my Dexter Build sheet - here is how you order the shock bracket:

"Top Shop Brackets per E-1501"

That language is added to the "Shop Order options" section of the Dexter Axle SN/LN Configuration worksheet.

Hope this is helpful.

Scott I would also contact Colin Hyde restorationd and double-check with him that your order is correct. In the past Colin has been very busy and hard to get a hold of. it is my understanding that he has since hired an office person or a phone person or that answers phones and emails which makes contacting him much easier.

We have worked with both Colin Hyde and Inland with success but the ones from Colin came with the holes in the right place and the brackets in the right spot and the nuts bolts washers were the more expensive good grade and we didn't have to go and buy extra ones.

He will tell you exactly where to measure from and be able to quote verbatim from memory what you need.

If applicable to you, shipping them to a commercial address saves on shipping costs. If you are going to ship to yourself you will need a means of getting them off of pallet and into a vehicle or trailer.

My axles came from Colin with shock brackets. I didn't ask for them as I was going to weld the old ones back on, so I imagine it is standard

Colin will do it right. Never a problem for me. As far as high or regular mounting brackets go the "high" gives you an inch, worth it. However check the side plates where they bolt up on early to mid 1960s. I had one where the plates where barely tall enough to bore the 5/8 hole for th new high mount X. Only 1/2 inch steel left between the hole and the lower edge. Probably enough but I welded on another inch to the plates.
