Dishwasher-lap of luxury or just lazy!

OK--so, this might be a little much, but I'm just considering it--has anyone installed an rv dishwasher into a vintage AS. I found one that could either be used on the countertop or installed under the counter. I was thinking about possibly removing the original never-used oven in my 65 Overlander and installing a dishwasher. Chances are I'll use the diswasher more than the oven--and, wow, a vacation from doing the dishes!

I think KitchenAid makes one that mounts into a sink. You may want to check that out.

Fisher Paykel dish drawers work great.

Somebody actually makes a dishwasher for an RV? I guess I am a rookie to the RV world. It must be really, really small.

Dishwasher

A friend has one on his boat. You might take a look at some marine supply sources.

None of the above...I would think it would waste water and fill what little gray tank (or blue boy) space there is available.

I was going to put this one:
http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/r...dishwasher.htm
in my 63 Overlander. the specs and size seems just right. I decided against it because we boon dock quite a bit, and as others have pointed out, it does use resources that are ususally scarce when boondocking.
However, I imagine that it would be very handy if one was to seek hook-up type camping for the most part.

I seriously considered a washer/dryer when I was travel nursing as it would be a whole lot more convient than trying to use a laudromat or washing my scrubs in the tub.....I would have room on one side as I have the twin beds. What would happen with the weight distribution if I still decided to do this?

I installed a DCS DishDrawer stainless steel dishwasher in our 34ft Excella. I think it uses much less water than hand washing. I'll post a pic of the install but I'm not sure how to do it yet. it replaced the pull out pantry and pull out wastbasket under the appliance garage under the microwave. It works great is almost silent. I can't recomend it highly enough I've already emailed Airstream that it should be an option (it was, on the A-37 motorhome)
