I have an ice maker, too. I never use it because it is a hassle to clean it every time we go camping and since most of our trips have been weekend trips, a bag of ice usually last us the weekend.

BTW, it is silver to match the Airstream.

Smile Whatever works for you and your budget!

As a woman who minds the kid, cleans the house and Airstream, tows the Airstream, etc....I actually don't mind doing dishes while camping cause it means I get to listen to music (ipod) and enjoy the scenery while hubby chases the child. Its also kinda therapeutic as the dirty dish gets clean and something tangible is accomplished. Then again I like to bake bread so just consider the source

I must add, however, that I have a dishwasher at home. If I were fulltiming I might do things differently. Best of luck with your decision!

Katzklaw that is a sweet set up for fulltiming!! The washer/dryer thing is really awesome (think that's in another thread though)!
