The guts of my '79 excella MH may be available
Hi all. I'm in the early stages of a makeover of my 28' '79 excella motorhome. I've had it 5 years, and find the need to completely re-do the interior. If my plan goes as intended, almost everything will be sold off to help finance the re-do, except for the center bath , rear bed units, and upper front tambour cabinets. I don't know whether trailer interiors were the same stuff as the MH's, but if so, enthusiasts who wish to retain an "original" look may find some of my pieces of interest.
I wanted to see if there is some interest out there, so let me know generally, and I will use the forum to try to help us all out.
Generally , the items that probably will be replaced are: front folding sofa with triple tambour storage base; hide-away folding table; single pedestal seat (behind front passenger seat);curved top entertainment center; curved top kitchen sink cabinet w/nutone blender;propane furnace; propane tank and plumbing; magic chef stove, and oven; microwave; dometic 3-way refrigerator ( needs heating elements to be installed) and surrounding cabinets; hot water heater; onan generator. Considering that all of these items are original I would say that they are in real nice condition, and all were in working condition when I last traveled in the unit 2 years ago. The MH has been in inside storage since then.
I'm in Naples, florida, on the south west coast, and hope to get this project underway in the next month or so. Rick
