I don't think the Service Maunuals were available until 1972.

The manuals are available from Secretarial Services at 937 492-8885.

I have read somewhere on line that there are some (many) years that owners manuals and/or service manuals (two seperate items some years anyway) were not offered nor I guess even printed.

Would be nice to see a chart made that gave which years had what.

There are a few (very few) available on line thru the VAC Club forum.

Keep renewing this post so it wont fall from the hot 30 and I bet you will be served. Please let all us know if you find one even thru PMs.

re: Secretarial Services repro manuals

Hi Louie

I used Secretarial Services to get a reproduced copy of the User's Manual and was shocked by the price. The total came to $41 for a very poor quality photocopy which totalled under 60 pages. I was expecting a thick manual and photos which were at least recognizable for that price.

Owner's Manual vs Service Manual

Westeagle,

The Owner's Manual is about 60 pages and is very general in nature similar to the kind of stuff you get with new cars nowadays.

The Service Manual is extremely detailed and runs about 280 pages for the early 70s vintage. It contains floor plans and exploded isometric drawings of just about every component of the trailer.

Thumbs up 1972 Service Manual

I have one. It is 280 pages long and provides service level information along with diagrams and trouble shooting help.

Check with Ace Fogdall in Cedar Falls, IA they are cleaning house and ran across a bunch of them. www.acefogdallrv.com 1-800-747-0747

Don't recall the price but call and ask for Florence.

Hope this does not mean that they are dropping Airstream.
They were an official dealer back in 1974 according to my owners manual. One of the few of that age apparently still going under same name.

Help "Overlander 64"!

$&V,
Nope Ace isn't dropping AS just moving to a new location about 10 miles away. They have been hauling boxes and boxes of stuff out of dark corners. They had uncovered a large cache of both service and owners manuals there was a listing in a post here somewhere. They had some of the parts I needed while I was there. BTW they have been an AS dealer since 1963 IIRC.

The prices are a bit spendy, but for an OEM service manual, some in brand new condition it is within reason.

I had a Secretarial services copy, and I spent 75.00 on an OEM manual. The original was complete. Some of the part numbers were missing in my copy. I would bet the manual will save you many times it's cost over the life of your coach.
