Owners and Service Manual
Greetings David!
Welcome to the Forums and the world of Vintage Overlander Ownership!
There would not have been an owner's manual or service manual produced by Airstream for 1961 models. The first year for the owner's manual was 1964, and it is not terribly comprehensive based upon the one for my '64 Overlander. Service manuals wouldn't come upon the scene until 1972.
Your coach's original owners would have been provided with a manilla envelope containing a variety of manuals and warranty records for each of the major installed accessories and options. This practice was continued even after the owner's manual debuted (I have the original packets that came with both my Overlander and Minuet), but prior to '64 it was the extent of the owner's manual. My '64 came with a WBCCI guide to camping that was actually more informative about the "care and feeding" of the coach than the actual factory owner's manual.
Probably the easiest way to get information about operating the various accessories and appliances on your coach would be to post questions to the forums with the manufacturer's name, model number, and any related information that you might be able to glean from data plates. You will likely find that someone on the forums will have the information that you need.
Good luck with your Overlander!
Kevin
