How?

My guess would be that it attaches to the awning rail on your trailer ... assuming you have an awning rail.

Cool find ... Did it come with your trailer or did you "locate" it?

Talking Factory install

Airstream uses the Peguin as a "factory installed unit"

I honestly don't know the answer to your specific question.

I bought a used Duo-Therm Penguin low profile (like the pic above) from a local RV wrecking yard. It was easy to install. The hardest part was removing the old unit. The old Duo-Therm was much heavier.

I had a choice at the wrecking yard of either Duo-Therm. They told me the low profile might be louder than the other Duo-Therm. The low profile is a piston compresser vs a rotory compresser for the Brisk Air. So the Brisk Air is more efficient by design. Uses less power. May cool faster? May be quieter. At the wrecking yard it was more $. I opted for the low profile because I need to keep the height of the trailer as low as possible for storage. And generally I do not have to be concerned about the power consumption at a trailer park. If I was running off of generator power I might have a different opinion.

As far as operation, It worked very well in keeping my unit cold in Mexico last summer. And it works well in Phoenix when I want to work on the interior at home. I am pleased at the results. I do not think it is excessively noisy

I think I paid $350 last year.
