I am looking for a refrigerator door shelf that will fit inside my small Dometic in our '64 GlobeTrotter. It is aqua plastic and snaps onto the molded plastic knobs on the bottom of the door. It looks as though it was meant to hold cans of pop, because the white plastic is molded with ripples to keep cans from sliding...although, I'm not sure exactly what it looks like, because I've never seen one...
I did find the two other shelves for the door at Cherokee RV Salvage here in Denver, I would imagine that the bottom shelf looks similar to them.
Sorry I don't have the same refrig as you. Mine has a lovely 70's burnt orange interior...but looking at your kitchen photos I noticed something else you might want to be on the look out for. My GT has a cover that goes over the sink - in matching counter type material and you flip in over and it's a cutting board. I'll send you a picture if yours is missing and you can add it to your hunting list!
check yellow pages for rv reefer rebuilder..they should have plenty..that is what I did for a rm2600 i have no door pannels or drip pan...found a rebuilder not a mile from work, went through his junk pile and found them all.....

I've seen those on larger trailers but I didn't know they were an option on ours! If you wouldn't mind, send a picture & dimensions when you get a chance...it'll go in my "Questing For" file...Thanks!
The opening measures approximately 13-1/2"and the knobs that it would attach to protrude about 1/4" with a clear dimension between them being about 13". The other shelves are a light aqua colored plastic (not smoke-colored) with a grid pattern and snap onto the molded knobs on the sides. So I would assume this one is similar...

P.S. If anybody has a picture of this shelf that they could email me ~ that would be great too! It would help me to know exactly what I am looking for...
Been awhile since this thread "floated to the top"...with lots of new members and my success rate with other M.I.A. (missing in Airstream) items, I'm still hopeful!
You have some determination! I remember your last quest, I think it was some sort of sewer cap? You ended up finding it long after I would have given up. Have you tried Crane RV refrigeration? I am not sure but maybe your vintage of fridge may be rare as hen's teeth?
BTW...I did find a picture in the Special Interest Autos article published in the February 1998 '64 GlobeTrotter article. Tough to scan...but here it is:

A few things~
• I'm not able to get to my '63 GT right now, and have only spent about 5 minutes inside it total.
• No pictures of the refrig, but I'd bet the original fridge is in there, nothing's ever been touched.
• Haven't opened the frig, so don't know what's there or missing.
• I'll probably will upgrade all the appliances to new, super efficient models when the restoration begins, and in the meantime I can get rid of stuff I won't be needing.
Add all that up, and if the '63's had the same fridge, in the color you want, with the pieces in there, you're welcome to 'em. I'll see if I can get up there with a digital camera in the next couple weeks and take a digital inventory of the few un-ruined goodies (i.e. anything made of plastic and not wood!) left inside.
WOW! If all the planets align and luck is on our side...that would be terrific! Looks like you have your work cut out for you, but you'll have a gem when you're through!
I would love to add to my success rate by finding all my M.I.A. (missing in Airstream) items! Let me know what you discover once you get a chance...Thanks Brad!

No prob, Shari. Your efforts as moderator help to keep the massive flow of information organized and helpful have been so important to everyone, (particularly us vintage owners), so if I have anything that will help make our pal Maxwell even better then he is, I'm in!
I may have a chance to inspect it this afternoon, so I'm packing the digital camera just in case.
