Hub caps

I'm looking for a set of hub caps for my '71 Overlander International. I have 3 painted steel original caps but have seen the later polished aluminum "spoke" type and want them. I was in a KOA in San Antonio last week and my camp neighbor had a '72 with these caps and said they came with the trailer.

Any sets out there?

Thanks........Dave Spann

Finding good hub caps seems to be a difficult thing to do. My hubby wanted baby moons for our '70 Trade Wind. We ordered a set from JC Whitney but they didn't fit properly. Someone recommended we contact Bob Drake http://www.bobdrake.com/
The folks there were real helpful...ordered a set of baby moons (don't remember the exact year Ford they were supposed to fit) and they look great. Maybe you'll find here that might interest you.

Good luck in your search!

Coker tire also has a variety of baby moon sizes

http://www.coker.com/

He sent me this reply on the subject:

Measure the backside diameter of the hubcaps where it snaps in. I do
have baby moons that measure 7", 7 1/2", 8 1/4", 10 1/8"

Sorry, I know that baby moons weren't the type asked for in the original post, but I wanted to put that information in a related thread incase it could help someone.

I have nice spoked rims with a small cap in the center that looks like a long Thermos cap, the chrome is just trashed and I would like to replace them. Anybody now what they are called -beyond hubcap?

I took the original set of hubcaps off our 71 Safari and don't plan to use them because I like to feel the hubs on the axel after driving for a while to see if they are hot. How much do you want to spend for a nice set of caps? I see some sets on e-bay from time to time.
