OK, we took him in to get new tires, bearings packed, weight distributing hitch, and on the ride back home, over a 35 mile stretch, we lost one of the windows. Tha back window was taped in, and it made it, but the window over the rear goucho is missing. We have spent HOURS looking for it, and it's not to be found, next step is riding my bike on the median.
If any come up for sale, I have dibs...Let me tell you I am SICK....
So if y'all will keep your eyes and ears open for a new used one, please let us know.
Thanks a lot...
Ron and Tony

we've been working steadily on a/s, this has been the first time I've been able to sit down and worry about it. I didn't even think about calling the plant, figured I was SOL, thanks, as always..

TCL,
There were a set on Ebay for sale, about the right year you are looking for. I can't find the link but someone posted on the forum in the last 2 days. Also run a search for forum Member Cedar Electronics, that is the person that has them for sale. BTW FWIW I just bought a new Vista View from the factory via Inland Andy, it is for my 1975 so at least some parts are available.
Good luck on the search. Also find forum member Cedars she was parting out a 1977
Aaron

Why are we in this basket...and where are we going
That is good news, congratulations. While you are there, can you take a brief inventory of units that are there that are being parted out? I'm sure many of us would like to know what they have without calling them. I would rather hear it from a forums member. Maybe just by model, year and parts available/or damaged. I'm looking for a few items of my vintage and haven't found any yet.
I live only 40 miles from Colaws RV salvage, and go right by there on business every couple of weeks. Let me know if you wish a first hand inspection of anything.
I have come to know them ("them" being James - a good guy) quite well and would be very surprised if they were to misrepresent anything. Having said that, they are remarkably ignorant of Airstreams generally. In talking to them, it would be well not to assume any special knowledge on their part. Don't be afraid to haggle on prices.
The only thing they have remotely vintage is the '79, which is largely complete. Everything else is mid 80's and newer, and very, very picked over.
