While this is true, these old trailers and parts are rotting away - some folks believe that vintage A/S parts are worth their weight in gold (if not now, in the near future), the value increases the older they get. Now, the owners of these vintage parts and trailers don't realize that they're almost falling apart faster than their value increases. There comes a time when value is going down faster because of deterioration than it is increasing because of age and scarcity.

Does anyone have the 1" wood blinds that came in some of the MH's such as I have in my 86' 345 that they would like to part with? Mine has some problems with mechanism that opens/closes and have "LookOuts" on the blind as the manufacturer I assume. Also, some of the plastic covers that snap over the exposed strings at the bottom are missing on ours Thanks, Jim

A little baffled on this one - we have all brass trim (factory) in our 69 Globe Trotter including the brass "cone lights" except for two in the stateroom - are silver.
I would like to get her consistent - so if anyone out there has two brass cone lights to sell or would like to trade for two silver ones please PM me.
See attached photo of the brass light I am looking for.
Also - looking for two strips of brass U-channel that sits on the bottom of the bulkhead cupboards. Not sure on length needed will check - it is for the two forward cupboards above the dinett - see also the photo attached.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Cheers - it's Spring - finally - all the snow has melted (okay so there are a few little patches and the perma frost is not completely melted yet) but we are closer than ever to some really warm Airstream working weather!

Try a major hardware like Orchard Supply Hardware (OSH) for the U channel. You can usually get brass stock similar.

Sorry Murray - I must have missed this post - thanks - we will check out as many hardware stores as possible. Did get some other trim for the bottom of the foot lockers and top and bottom of the cupboard doors. Things are coming together nicely.
I just find so much help from this site and people like yourself - our job of restoring has been made real easy.
Thanks again

Such trailer spotted along the NM/Texas border is a 1958 Wanderer that I bought for parts for my '69 Caravel. Since the door did not fit, a retired LAPD sergent from Long Beach will use it to restore her Cruisette. Pics of this cutie were posted on a previous thread. She has yet to collect it, and it has been a month. I have yet to hear from her since she paid for it (400$). Should she not need any parts, let me know and I can put you in touch with her. Whenever that is.

I need a wheel cover for my 72' Tradewind. Mine have the small blue painted center.
Thanks,
Mike
You can buy them ready-made from Camping World...didja know.
Or.......... I can make them (on order), complete with bungee ball cord pull in back...,(just like C.W.)

I have 1" wood blinds. Mine are called "Basswood" blinds. But, mine are not in a MH...and did not come with.
Mine are custom made from a National blind company (to my specs). In white wood with black tape. I custom designed brackets to hold them steady to the chassis...and keep them with the curve.
I have photos... if you're interested...but they are not stock.
