A-frame to Body "Transition Gussets/Fillers"

Seeking info on a pair of body parts on my 74 Excella.
I would imagine these are on every model of Airstream and I think they might all be the same (I hope) other than being RH and LH handed.

I will (for now) call them transition gusset plates or fillers.
They dress up the opening in the lower (below rub-rail) skin, Where the A-frame comes out from under trailer. They saddle the A-frame and rivet to the body skin.

I think mine are plastic, but am not certain. Hopefully they are aluminum. Mine have been painted and I don't want to fool too much with them yet.

The obvious questions please:
Are they all the same?
Are they available?
Cost ?
AS stock # ?
What are they really called? (I'll edit this post)

That part is called an A-frame saddle.

They are no longer available, and have not been used for many many years.

What is used on the later (and earlier Airstreams)?

Wonder how such a part was manufactured? Lots of curves!
Could this saddle be used as pattern for cast aluminum one?
Easy? Very difficult?

They could be used to make a mold for fiberglass replacements. This would be a DIY job, see make a mold.

My '67 has nothing but what appears to be vulkem sealant at that interface.

Jaco, you don't want aluminum there. If aluminium contacts the steel A-frame when there is salt in the air, either from the sea or road treatment, electrolytic corrosion will occur. You can see this on many Airstreams. Glass reinforced plastic would be fine, but I use Vulkem, as mentioned above. Nick.
