I was wondering what you were planning on replacing the sofa with? A desk? Chairs?

Actually, we replaced it with a futon type couch from IKEA with a real mattress...fits great and we can still use the bin under the old couch. IT IS MUCH BETTER TO SLEEP ON...even thought it isn't the best match in color. Who cares, we need a good night sleep after wrestling kids. You can see what I mean in the thread entitled "The WORST Couch EVER!!!" It was a great sitting couch, just not for sleeping!

I love to see a pic of your futon and how it fits. Just curious as I had the same model. I didn't like the sofa either.

I will run out and get a photo of it today. We had to move some of the wiring and built a box for the switch back there, but that was simple. One drawback..we had to sacrafice the table...there is really no way to pull it up and use it now. Fine with us, we would rather have a comfortable bed to sleep on. The kids love eating off trays(don't ask me why) and most of the time we eat outside on the picnic tables. All in all, we are happy we made the switch. I will eventually make a different cover for the couch, as it is pretty blah...
