banana wrap needed

I am looking for the center 'straight' piece that connects the two corner banana wrap pieces. This piece is located at the front of the trailer just behind the LP tanks. I have an 18' 59 traveller, not sure what other size TT this can come from...?

Thanks,
Doug.

Question Wrap rap

I wish you well, but for a 59 model I have to bet that you will have to have it made. But maybe the 59s and the 79s are no different in the "wrap" dept. I do not know. Good luck.

But your request brings up a good opportunity for some clarification.
I have been under the impression that any of the "wrap" between the lower outside wall skin and the bellypan center course was properly known as "Banana Wrap" . I now wonder if only the corner sections (which are compound curved) are actually what is meant by "Banana Wrap".

If the latter is correct then what are the "straight" curving-under pieces between the corners properly called?

Its all banana wrap -

Its pretty easy to fix, just get a piece of .32" aluminum and fit it as needed. Since there is a trim piece there, you should be able to fit it under the trim piece. Also, can probably fit it over whatever you have there. If this does not make sense, let me know - a photo of whats there would help also.

Good point.

I may very well be calling it the wrong name. I'm actaully talking about the stip that covers the outerskin/bellypan joint. mine has three pieces (two corners and a straight piece) around the front and three around the back. They're about like a 1.5" tall aluminum bumper.

Realistically, only the corners look like bananas:^)

Oh - are you talking about the trim piece - kinda shaped like a "c" made out of aluminum? I would think a good sheet metal shop could duplicate that easily

Are we talking rubrail?

Thats an extruded aluminum piece on the later mods. Bent I think at the corners, not formed or cast.

Correct me if I am wrong.

Hello Andy where are you?

I would call that trim or rub rail. Anyway, don't think thats something that Andy would have - at least for that year , but a sheet metal shop should easily be able to duplicate it - let us know how you make out.

I have a 1958 Traveler. If you need measurements of that piece to have one made, e-mail me and I will mail you a drawing of it, so you can take to a sheet metal shop and have one made. Good luck!

If it's the rub rail (?) it's an extruded piece. You may need to search the web for an exact duplicate. Here is one that's close. http://www.hoskinmuir.com/catalog/thresholds.htm
The rub rail on mine was a single piece, not three pieces. Also check local yellow pages.
