Armstrong Grill

I'm looking for the upper grill for an original Armstrong a/c unit for a 1971 27" Overlander, It measures 13" by 13 3/4" and is rectrangular with 4 legs attaching to the 4 studs on the fan unit. Mine is almost rusted to nothing. I'm rebuilding the shroud and the grill is the last thing to relpace. Mail me at harleyd@camtel.net

Armstrong grill

I recently replaced my armstrong shroud and my grill was rusted to the point of no return. I used a SS refrigerator rack that was just slightly larger than
the opening. Then took four rubber coated wire holders (the things you would use to nail or screw wire to a wall). They wrap around the rack one on each corner and and mount with SS screws to the top of the shroud. It works great. It will save you some time because anything used is a mess and there aren't any new ones.

good luck

Dave,

How are you rebuilding your shroud, do you have any pictures?
