Access door wanted

We're searching for an original, not newly fabricated, access door to the rear passenger side of our 1972 Airstream International Overlander 27'. This door gives access to the fuse box and exterior electrical plug underneath one of the bunk beds. We also need a hubcap for the trailer, the one that has the blue international emblem embossed into the center. We also need a breakaway switch. The newer switch attachments are facing the wrong direction and won't fit this model. Any help or suggestions are much appreciated.

Welcome Kim Fox.

InlandRV.com sells new access doors (I know you said not "newly fabricated" but..). I've heard they are pricey, but have no personal experience.

Forum member Sneakinup has the same Airstream as you. He's kinda busy on what life has presented him right now, but drop him a personal message about which breakaway switch he used. I believe it was a common item.

Be sure and check out Sneakinup's webpage - He has done an awesome job with his interior.

Send a message via Yahoo to till
You may also want to try Ace Fogdall (SP?) he has many different doors that he has collected over the years.

Also, try this link,RV salvage yards

Kim Fox

A new door for your access compartment is no longer available. The new style has a 2 inch shorter heigth.

Best bet will be from a salvaged trailer.
