Camping World has a number of shrouds for A/C units. Fair pricing. www.campingworld.com

There's gotta be a better AC shroud out there. I've often wondered if there wouldn't be some way to build a custom bubbular shroud out of rivets and aluminum that would really look like it belonged up there.

Anyone ever try this? Also a battery box - imagine on a vintage unit if you built a rounded battery box that almost looked like a miniature Airstream mounted sideways on the tongue, or a taller skinny one that held the LP tanks. If done well, it could look like rare, original accessories that no one else has!

I have an A/C shroud from my '71 Safari available. It is in good shape, has been painted aluminum over the years to protect the ABS plastic it's made of, and has the rear screen in place. Inland RV sells new ones, unpainted (white) without the screen. Shipping is a major item due to the bulk. E-mail me at landyachtdoc@earthlink.net.

Inland Andy,
Has the replacement shrouds, his are fiberglass not plastic so they should last longer. We are in the process of building a mock up out of aluminum, the early one looks like something out of Battle Star Galactica I hope to buy an english wheel and try rolling one.
